Christmas is all about family coming together and so we cannot think of a better time to get married. That and the fact that winter foliage and fairy lights look AMAZING. That is why we love Kim and Lee's luxurious winter barn wedding in Cooling Castle Barn in Kent. The atmospheric lighting and large feature Christmas tree look incredible in this historic barn. Kim and Lee were not actually planning a Christmas wedding, but when they saw Cooling Castle (the first and only venue they saw) they knew right away that it was exactly what they wanted.
Kim and Lee said their vows in this extravagant ceremony back drop. They decided to keep the vows short and traditional as Lee was not too keen on public speaking.
Kim walked down the aisle to A thousand years by The Piano Guys. During the signing of the register they choose wings by Birdy, How long will I love you by Ellie Goulding and Is this love by Bob Marley. After the ceremony they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife to Say you won't let go by James Arthur.
The flowers were designed by Floral Explosion in Longfield. Kim and Lee knew that they wanted silver flowers but didn't know what sort of design or flowers they wanted. They had a meeting with Floral explosion who helped them choose their flowers. "We went for a silver/grey rose only available in winter and the flower girls had flower wands". The venue supplied discrete floral arrangements for the tables which the couple felt were perfect as the Barn itself was already decorated.
Kim got her wedding dress from Bride and Groom in Gravesend. "The dresses there were beautiful and the quality just didn't compare to anywhere else". The dress was ivory lace with a little beading on the front. "Lynda is lovely and was very helpful and put me at ease and under no pressure at all. Bride and Groom is run by Lynda and her husband and is a very homely and welcoming business".
Her two bridesmaids wore silver dress with floral detail on the upper bodice from Quiz. Kim chose them as they were the dresses that best suited her bridesmaids and which worked with the colour scheme.
Lee and his ushers wore grey suits which also came from Bride and Groom in Gravesend. He had his best friend and nephew as his best men.
And if that hasn't satisfied your appetite... here is a few more sneak peeks:
We love kids at weddings ... and with pictures like this its not hard to see why!
